Airport

The Monroe County Airport is a General Aviation (GA) Type III Airport Facility and is located four miles northeast of the city of Aberdeen in Monroe County. Access to the airport is provided by Mississippi Highway 25 and Airport Road. The airport’s runway (Rwy 18/36), which is 5,000′ x 75′ is supported by a full parallel taxiway. Navigational aids at the airport include Medium Intensity Runway Lights (MIRLs), Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI), rotating beacon, segmented circle, lighted wind cone, and an AWOS III. GPS WAAS approaches are available to aid pilots during period of reduced visibility. Facilities include a municipal terminal building, 15 conventional hangars, 20 T-hanger units, and six paved tie-down spaces. Services available to pilots include aviation fuel (AvGas and JetA), aircraft maintenance, and flight instruction.
