How Our Office Serves You

The tax collector is responsible for the collection of all taxes on land and buildings, motor vehicles, mobile homes; fees on small aircraft, vehicles titles and mobile home registrations, and sales/use tax on motor vehicles.

Reminders and Information

• Tags must be purchased within seven working days of purchase date of a vehicle to avid penalties
• Proof of Residence is required for address change at renewal & for tagging a vehicle purchase.  Proof is verification of homestead, and electric bill or water bill or solid waste bill in the vehicle owner's name or a notarized affidavit from person living with & his/her proof.
• Recording the court’s activities in various dockets and minute books
• Mailing Fee - $.75 on renewals or $2.50 on new tags
• Antique Tag - There is a one time fee of $26.00 if a current tag is issued to the vehicle
• An antique vehicle is one that is 25 years old as of October each year
